Mr. Rich has been working in the Ware Public School System for the past 19 years. During his tenure at the high school, he has served in a variety of teaching and administrative roles. Mr. Rich has taught in both the Business and Math Departments, guiding students in courses such as Accounting, Marketing, Personal Finance, Business Math, Algebra, and Geometry. In addition to instructing students in the classroom, he has also served the district as Director of Athletics (4 years), Dean of Students, Class Advisor, New Teacher Mentor and Union Representative.
As an Athletic Coach, Mr. Rich has spent many hours leading a number of Ware High School teams from the sidelines (Girls Soccer, Boys Basketball, Golf). He has also worked for several local colleges including Worcester State University, Becker College, and UMASS @ Amherst.
Mr. Rich has also spent time working in the Business Sector for a number of companies (AT&T and Jonathan Reid Clothing Ltd.), which has provided him with opportunities to develop a number of leadership skills that have proven to be valuable. He has been able to bring these experiences into the classroom setting with him, enriching the learning activities that are implemented within the curriculum. Mixing authentic business concepts and ideas with academic instruction has added a great deal of utility to the business courses taught at the high school level.
Mr. Rich earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts @ Amherst and his Master’s in Business Administration from Nichols College. He holds his state certifications in Business Education and High School Administration.
